- What arrived
- [EDITAR] 32 stems, drums printed with a limiter already on the bus and a lead vocal recorded in two different rooms.
- What I decided
- [EDITAR] Rebuilt the low end around the 808 instead of the kick, and matched the two vocal takes with tone before touching any compression.
- Result
- [EDITAR] Chorus reads 4 dB louder in perception at the same LUFS; the label kept the mix as the single version.

- What arrived
- [EDITAR] A bedroom folk demo: one condenser, two acoustic guitars, and a vocal masked by room reflections.
- What I decided
- [EDITAR] Kept the room instead of gating it out, and carved the guitars around the vocal rather than compressing the voice forward.
- Result
- [EDITAR] Intimacy survived the loudness pass; the artist released it without re-recording anything.

- [EDITAR] An intimate acoustic/folk take: a close-mic'd vocal, layered guitars and a room that carried more of itself than the song wanted.
- What I decided
- [EDITAR] Kept the performance breathing — subtractive EQ around the vocal, gentle dynamics, and a master that adds weight without pushing the intimacy away.
- Result
- [EDITAR] A warm, present single that holds up on earbuds and streaming alike, with the vocal always in the front row.
